Here’s a video I shot and produced to the Saukville Rebels. I took it over the span of the 2016 season. Having done only sport photography previously, sports video was a challenge, I really enjoyed it and over the span of the 8 weeks of games learned a great deal. Sunrise, Halloween morning, October 31, 2016 in Port Washington, WI, more specifically, Veterans Memorial Park. I call this image, “In the Beginning” for several reasons. Sunrise marks the beginning of a new day. But this particular location also boasts a outlet of some type of water pipe which dispatches rain water into the lake. I’m not really sure about the details but it makes a great location to make images of Lake Michigan, the Port Washington lighthouse. Images Available
On an overcast misty mid-October afternoon the Saukville Rebels and Greendale Panthers clashed in an All American Youth Football League matchup at Rebels Field in Saukville.
Homecoming in Port Washington for 2016 took place October 14th. After a week full of fun events at local schools, the Homecoming Parade signified the beginning of the Friday evening events; the parade, a tailgate party at the High School and of course, the Friday night football game. South Beach in Port Washington, Wisconsin seems to be missing. A combination of high water levels in Lake Michigan and a fog clinging to the water surface has suffocated the beach.
The 2016 edition of Port Washington’s Fish Day began with a magnificent sunrise which filled and already busy marina with a warm golden glow. Visitors from near and far flock to what is billed as the Worlds Largest One Day Outdoor Fish Fry. The 2016 Midshore Baseball League Tournament kicked off with the Port Washington Pirates taking on Cedar Grove/Belgium at Thomas Jefferson Field #1. It was a tense match up with a final score of Port Washington 10, CG/Belgium 3.
In what turned out to be a very entertaining, hard fought game, the Port Washington Pirates Midshore League baseball team defeated the Sheboygan Falls team 21-15.
