Pirate Fest in Port Washington 2016

Pirate Fest returned to Port Washington after a several year absence.  Held June 3-5, 2016 the event featured pirate reenactments, knife and axe throwing, musket shooting, and of course, food and drink.  For the kids, there was a bouncy house.  Vendors lined several sections of the marina with a wide selection of eclectic goodies to browse and buy.

The picturesque Port Washington Marina provided the perfect backdrop for the festival.  For those wanting to get off land, the tall ship S/V Denis Sullivan took passengers on two hour cruises of Lake Michigan, sailing from Coal Dock Park adjacent to the festival grounds in Rotary Park.  (click images for larger view)
