November Sunrise in Port Washington

Sunrise, each and every one of them is special.  Add the element of water, clouds, fog and you have something extra special.  It’s been a while since I’ve taken sunrise photos on the breakwater in Port Washington, WI.  On this particular November morning, the air temperature was 16 degrees which, when it’s that cold, if the wind is low, a gentle fog rises from Lake Michigan’s warmer waters. USS Milwaukee Commissioning Ceremony

The USS Milwaukee Commissioning Ceremony took place in Veterans Park in Milwaukee, WI. November 21, 2015.  Local, City and State dignitaries, along with a hearty crowd, braved the wind, cold and snow to commission the newest LCS to the Navy fleet.   Prints available at my online gallery, here.

USS Milwaukee Visits Port Washington WI

The USS Milwaukee visited just outside the Port Washington WI breakwater on a beautiful Sunday morning in mid-November 2015. The date was November 15, 2015 at 10am. Coal Dock Park was jam packed with people eager to get a few minute glimpse while she slowed down to salute just outside the harbor.
