Rebels Ground the Owls

The 6th grade Saukville Rebels beat the Slinger Owls 19-6 on an unusually warm end of October morning. The Rebels were in control from start to finish with Slinger scoring their lone touchdown in the last two minutes. The Rebels players were announced prior to kickoff having their names and numbers announced to an enthusiastic crowd. Hard to believe the season is over next week.

Benches on the Bluff

My hometown Port Washington, WI has a huge bluff that towers high above the beaches that hug Lake Michigan 50 or more feet below.  This area on top of the bluff is called Upper Lake Park.  Along the bluff are several groupings of benches and picnic tables.  Some groupings include one bench, some two, some a bench and a table, or two benches and a table.  Many have a dedication plaque.  It’s easy to imagine those of the past…

Rebels and Cardinals Clash

It was a crisp October afternoon when the Saukville Rebels clashed with the Mequon Cardinals in a 6th grade football matchup. Big plays defined the afternoon which say the Rebels clinch the Conference Championship with a 46-26 victory.

Short Walk to Blue Bridge

On this morning the clouds were hanging low on Lake Michigan, creating what I like to call “drama”.  As a landscape photographer (primarily) I’m always on the lookout for contrast of lights and dark and thus my favorite times to shoot are dawn, dusk(ish).
