First job for a new remodel client, Carmel Builders of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. I met with the owner of Carmel Builders, Louis, at the property and we discussed the work his company did in building a wine cellar in a Shorewood home recently. Cutting through downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin it’s banks provide destination dining experiences and her waters provide great opportunity for those wanting to experience downtown Milwaukee from a wetter perspective. Sunrise in downtown Milwaukee, WI This was supposed to be a relaxing start to the weekend. That was the plan. The Hank Aaron State Trail is a popular and fantastic public walkway that follows the downtown Milwaukee lakefront, near the Henry W Maier Festival Park west past Miller Park. In fact, you can see many important Milwaukee landmarks along it’s 12-mile route. I “discovered” the trail section along the Milwaukee lakefront on New Years Day, 2016. An unusually warm December in Milwaukee continued with highs around 50 degrees mid-month. I couldn’t think of a better reason to take an early evening walk along the public path behind the Harbor House restaurant on the lakefront. The 17th annual Canadian Pacific Holiday Train rolled through Wisconsin December 4-5, 2015 with 12 scheduled stops. The Milwaukee stop was scheduled for 6:50pm, December 4th at the Amtrack station. The USS Milwaukee Commissioning Ceremony took place in Veterans Park in Milwaukee, WI. November 21, 2015. Local, City and State dignitaries, along with a hearty crowd, braved the wind, cold and snow to commission the newest LCS to the Navy fleet. Prints available at my online gallery, here.
The USS Milwaukee visited just outside the Port Washington WI breakwater on a beautiful Sunday morning in mid-November 2015. The date was November 15, 2015 at 10am. Coal Dock Park was jam packed with people eager to get a few minute glimpse while she slowed down to salute just outside the harbor.
