How to… Interiors Photography

Recently I did interiors photography work with Greg Peters, Resilient Realty & Renovation. Greg became a client mid 2019. Prior to that time Greg was taking his own photos of the company real estate listings and remodeling projects but now has me take all of them. On this photoshoot, as with every architecture photoshoot I do, I talked with the project owner, in this case Greg, about what has been done in the space, what’s important to highlight, and…

Real Estate Photo Favs Dec 2018

Here’s a collection of my favorite real estate photos taken in December. These properties were located in SE Wisconsin; Milwaukee, Fox Point, Mequon, Pewaukee, Whitefish Bay, and Cleveland Wisconsin. Most are single family properties, though a few are condos along the Milwaukee River in the third ward and fifth ward. Two are recent remodels, one is virtually staged, meaning there was no actual furniture in the room when the photo was taken.

November Real Estate Photo Favs

November was unusual in terms of the properties I photographed for my agent clients. Looking back at the homes photographed, a rough estimate was that about half were vacant which is unusually high. Typically I would estimate about 10% of the homes I photograph are vacant. The properties shown are from all over southeastern Wisconsin; South Milwaukee, Mequon, Cedarburg, Fox Point, Random Lake, River Hills, and Menomonee Falls.

Some images are from houses I photographed for my Realtor clients, some are from my builder and remodeling clients. It’s really a good mix of images from properties in all price ranges, from $100k bungalows to $2.5m estates. Real Estate Photo Favs from Jan 2018

New for 2018, I’m going to try to post a monthly roundup of my favorite real estate photos from the month. These are images I’ve made for my Realtor and remodeler clients of Milwaukee area homes that people live in, not builder models. Some of these photos are from million dollar properties, a few from a duplex that was listed for $155,000, so a wide range of property values. Some were professionally staged, some were not. All follow my…

A WOW of a Wine Cellar

Wine Cellar by Carmel Builders photo by James Meyer Photography

First job for a new remodel client, Carmel Builders of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. I met with the owner of Carmel Builders, Louis, at the property and we discussed the work his company did in building a wine cellar in a Shorewood home recently.  The first thing you’ll notice is the amazing orange floor.  It has the design of a bowling ball, only super shiny. The floor looks like it has 10 layers of thick lacquer on it.  It’s really…

Waterfront Condos Bathroom Remodel

Waterfront condos bathroom remodel photographed by James Meyer Photography

Waterfront Condos bathroom remodel I recently photographed for my client, Froze Design Build. The overall design and craftmanship of this remodel is spectacular. Even the smallest details and finishes were thoughtfully attended to.  Some things that really caught my eye; the stylish rectangular floor tile which is all the rage these days, the fantastic wall tile in the shower area. Take a look at this design feature. The texture of the tile is fantastic and really unique.  And who…
