Product photography is a must have for any company that sells a product. Now that’s a bit of an understatement isn’t it? Good product photography engages and converts and is one of the most valuable pieces of the marketing puzzle.
Product photography is used in social media, on websites, on print materials, trade show displays, just about everywhere possible to educate your customers about what your widget is and why it is better.
Basically there are two types of product photos; product only and in-context aka lifestyle images.
Product only images typically have a white background and and are only of the product from a single angle or multiple angles.
In-context, lifestyle images show your product being used. They may or may not include a model and they may or may not be group with other products. Lifestyle images tell a story, are more creative and help consumers learn more about your brand.
